Terms of Service

Last updated: April 9, 2026

The short version

Welp, Food's Done! is a meal planning app that's free to use right now. By using it, you agree to be reasonable: don't abuse it, don't use it to break the law, and understand that it's provided as-is while we build it out. We'll do our best to make it useful and keep your data safe, but we can't promise perfection. If something goes wrong, our legal liability is limited. These terms are the formal version of all that.

If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the app.

Who these terms are between

These terms are a legal agreement between you (the user) and Welp, Food's Done! ("we," "us," or "the operator"), the operator of the Welp, Food's Done! application and the getwfd.com website.

Using the app

You need to be at least 13 years old to use the app (or older, if the law where you live requires it). By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share your password, and let us know right away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

You agree to use the app only for its intended purpose — planning meals, managing recipes and pantries, and sharing with household members. You agree not to:

  • Use the app in a way that breaks the law.
  • Try to hack, overload, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure.
  • Copy, scrape, or reproduce the app or its content without permission.
  • Use the app to send spam, harass others, or distribute harmful content.
  • Impersonate others or provide false information when creating an account.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app without our written permission.

If you violate these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account.

Your content

Anything you add to the app — recipes, pantry items, meal plans, shopping lists, feedback, and so on — is your content. You own it. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content as necessary to operate the app and provide the service to you. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it for any purpose beyond running the app for you.

If you invite other users to your household and share content with them, you're responsible for making sure you have the right to share what you share. Once shared, other household members may see, use, and copy that content within the app.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the content you create. If you rely on a recipe or meal plan for dietary, medical, or allergy reasons, double-check the information yourself — we can't guarantee that user-entered content is accurate, safe, or appropriate for any particular person's needs.

Our content

The app itself — including its design, code, logos, branding, and any content we create — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You're welcome to use the app as intended, but you can't copy, modify, or redistribute our content without permission.

The "Welp, Food's Done!" name and WFD logo are our brand. Please don't use them in ways that suggest we endorse something when we don't.

The app is provided "as is"

We're building this app carefully, but we're building it. Things may break, features may change, and bugs may exist. The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will meet your specific needs. We also don't warrant the accuracy of recipes, nutritional information, or any other content displayed in the app.

In particular: the app is not a source of medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. If you have food allergies, dietary restrictions, medical conditions, or any other health concerns, consult a qualified professional — don't rely on the app.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the app, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months — which, while the app is free, is zero.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where liability can't be excluded by law, it's limited to the minimum allowed by that law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise out of your use of the app, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or party.

Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We can also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we decide to discontinue the app. If we terminate your account without cause, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you export your data first.

If we discontinue the app entirely, we'll give users reasonable notice and an opportunity to retrieve their data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app grows. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, notify users by email or through the app. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Pricing and paid features

The app is currently free. In the future, we plan to introduce premium features available by subscription. When that happens, we'll update these terms with specific pricing, billing, and cancellation details, and any paid features will be clearly marked as such before you're charged. We won't retroactively charge you for anything you've already used for free.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the courts of Los Angeles County, California, United States, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
